Mahemdavad is a city which is located at the bank of river Vatrak. Mahemdavad is a city of Kheda District in Gujarat State of India.

Mahemdavad was developed by the king named Mahmud Begada, and he gave name Mahmudabad. The city includes of many historical places like Bhammariyo Kuvo, Roja-Roji & Chanda-Suraj Mahal. The biggest temple of Lord Ganesha in India is located in Mahemdavad i.e., Shree Siddhi Vinayak Devsthan.

SIDDHIVINAYAK DEVSTHAN

The Shree Siddhivinayak Devsthan is one of its kinds in complete of the India as it is the biggest temple in structure and with an inbuilt lift facility. The Jyot for the temple was bring from Mumbai Siddhivinayak Temple.

BHAMMARIYO KUVO

It was built during the Gujarat Sultanate. It has well planned staircase inside surrounded to go underneath rooms. This is an ancient well with seven floors (stories) below the ground. Each floor has a different architecture. Currently well are filled so visitors are only able to view the top three floors.

ROJA-ROJI

Roja Roji is a Maqbara (Dargah Sarif of Mubarak Said, R.A.) located near Ghodali village with a distance of 3 km from Mahemdavad. Roja Roji is a holy place for Muslims. The myth about Roja Roji is that one cannot count the pillars of the building. Every time one counts, one gets a different figure. People get confused while counting because of its architectural design.
